Well, It's been a while, let me explain

I haven't posted for w while. It seems life catches up with you and really slaps the crap out of you saying, " I need your attention".
Even before April 29, our lived were in a whirlwind. I can't understand that because you have MS you suddenly become Obi Wan Kanobi in everyones eyes.
You know everything, from how to promote the local chapter of the Eastern Star, to getting Masonic Lodge members to get moving on projects. And low and behold, when you suggest a solution, you appointed to implement the solution. Like I said, Obi Wan, again.

I assume everyone thinks my days are filled scholarly pursuit, digging deep into dusty old text, searching for divine light of wisdom, of which I can communicate to the masses.
Surely I don't spend my days washing laundry and dusting the house to help Deanna...

Well, anyway, back on April 29 I had a really bad flare, a Partial Onset Seizure. To the casual onlooker, I appeared drunk, really plastered, but that was not the case. Deanna came home and managed to get me in bed, called a friend of ours and I was transported by ambulance to Erlanger Medical Center, a Trauma 1 Hospital in Chattanooga. I don't remember anything about it but it appears they were dumbfounded. Hard to imagind a teaching Hospital would not know what to do. They did do a CT I understand and found I still had a brain. They pleaced my in holding and kept me there until 12:30 the next morning waiting on a room.

Anyway, the next morning I was really tired but they did call in a Neuro and I will go see him on 6/08. He thinks my lyrica may need to ne adjusted. I have had these things since 2005. The first was while locked up in a 9-1-1 center in Sequatchie County, they had to break into the bldg to get me out. They put me in my F250 and sent me home on a winding two lane winding road at 3"00 o'clock in the morning. I vaguely remember running in and out of the road, one wrong move and it would have been instant death.

Anyway, throughout the law enforcement community it spread I was pilled up, drunk, whatever. When I did receieve a diagnosis, I sent it to the director of 9-1-1 that he send it to the Sheriff and all the other critics I had. They never did like me because I dispatched in a para-military fashion like the Tennessee Highway Patrol, where I recieved my training. So now, my name is claered, their ignorant lips can kiss me where the sun don't shine. I listen to them on the scanner alot, really professional....

Anyway, just another test MS has put me thru, I don't think anyone reads this much, boy do I have lessons to teack.

ALSO A MAJOR ANNIVERSARY.....I WAS DIAGNOSED 19 YEARS AGO TODAY
AND STILL WALKING, TALKING (RAISING DICKENS), AND READY FOR ANOTHER 19
LETS GET IT ON MS, I AM READY

EVRYBODY, TAKE IT FROM A VETERAN OF THIS MS......FIGHT, UNTIL YOU HAVE NO STRENGTH LEFT, TAKE ANOTHER PAIN PILL LIKE DR HOUSE AND FIGHT AGAIN, I HAVE GOT THE EDGE
LET'S GET IT ON

love/hate

I love to love. I hate to hate.

The Ides of March, thousands of years later.

The Ides of March was the reported date of Julius Ceasar's demise at the hands of his legislature. Now, there appears to be an upcoming mini revolution within our government. Alright now, before all of you forward this to the Secret Service, I am not speaking of any violence within the government or anywhere else for that matter.
In some corners, the group Obamagasm that has gripped the drive-by Media and the American public in general seems to be fading. One of the statements that surfaced which tells alot was made by WH Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, " Never let a Crisis go to waste". The Media blitz, which created a Crisis mode, helped the White House to push the spending bills. It was designed to pass projects and laws that the liberals had wanted for years.
I am a Smoker. My wife is a Smoker. There, I said it. It is Politically Incorrect, Socially unacceptable. The Stimulus pkg has a $ 6.27 per carton tax that has just went into effect. For some reason, our friendly local neighborhood East Indian purveyor of Tobacco products went up $ 10.00. He told me he did not really know how much things were really going up, so he just pulled a number out of the air. But, whatever effected his judgement, must be contagious, every one has done the same. The bottom line is we are stopping. It is going to be really bad. This is change we can believe in, for real.
What other changes are waiting. We are on Social Security, Medicare, Medicare D for Med. I have this feeling, that besides the poor souls who make $ 250,000 +, my economic group, totally dependent on the govt, has had it.
I heard Glen Beck speaking of organizing the public in some sort of group. We are in the same boat. We suffer, see our incomes being sucked away. I saw today, the Congress is getting Damned raises. Damn these people.
Everything is out of control. The inmates are in charge of the Asylum.
I know I am worked up, and probably, no one will read this. But it does feel good to vent.
Another thing, the Govt, in their bank bailout wisdom, gave billions to Citigroup. The news surfaced today that Citigroup invested money in Dubai. Dubai ! What have these people got to do with some poor bastard trying to keep his home out of foreclosure?
All these funds have been handed out with no guidelines. I gaurantee if I had been given $ 1,000., someone would have stood on my head and told me what to do with it.
Someone on Fox suggested the other day each AMERICAN family be given 1 Million Dollars instead of all this other madness. That would have worked, houses would be bought, cars, clothes. Hell, I haven't had a new pair of Jeans in three years.
Well, I have got to stop. Time to do my Dr. House thing. I watch that show alot. I really can identify with him.
One last thing, Obama today in his daily appearance brought up the civilian defense force again. That my friends will be the new era brown shirts. Your neighbor, if he hears you in the backyard cussing the pine tree about Obama, will report you and they will carry you away in the middle of the night for a attitude adjustment, indoctrination.
Good Luck and Good Day, MT

Stimulus ? A Storm is coming

As I sit here, We are under a Tornado Watch here in East Tennessee. I went outside, Took down the American Flag so it doesn't get blown away. I couldn't help but notice, Spring is on the way, the Daffodils are breaking thru the ground.
But I am watching the horizon for a different type of storm. The stimulus package has hidden provisions nobody is talking about. There has been a board established to determine "Medical Needs" of those of us on Medicare and other government funded healthcare giants. If, they determine that due to your overall health (i.e. MS) the investment of a knee replacement does not meet the rules nased on youe expected life length and such, you don't get it, period.

One of Obama's picks on his cabinet, after all the Tax problems the others had, is Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen for Health and Human Services. This man has taken health care away from thousands in Tennessee when he killed Tenncare. Tenncare was designed for the uninsurable, which I am. When he decided he was killing the program, people in wheelchairs went to the State Capital to protest. Instead of meeting with them, They were carried down the steps by Tennesee State Troopers. PLace this man in charge of HHS and the same tactics he used here will be nationwide. He has no compassion, just his own political ambitions.
He was re-elected after the Tenncare Massacare by a public who looked at Tenncare Receps as Lazy slobs, who got free everything. Let me tell you now, I paid up to $365 per month for their coverage. He was re-elected by the haves, in a class warfare election.

But, through his generosity, after wiping us all out, when Katrina refugees arrived in Tennessee, they got emergency Tenncare. Why, bcause they might stay here and become loyal democrat voters.

The current financial situation makes Social Sec Disability Recips such as myself scared to death. Who would be an easy target to elimante and cut benefits on a federal level, us. We can't afford lawyers, we have very little voice.

Be afraid, Be very afraid, Someone may already have us in the crosshairs.

What does it mean to be flagged?

In this modern tech world in which we all live, the Internet, Blogging, and all this is a new form of communication, seems to be boundless.
In my Blog, I have tried to address the frustrations of being disabled at a young age (33), experiencing a Housefire, living of Social Security, being critical of the Political Correct age we live in and pretty much said what I Damn thought.
Now, it appears, even though as the help page explains, when someone "flags" you, it is not censorship, just suggests that some of your thoughts may be offensive, etc.
Well, I now feel since the change of the administration in Washington, and the attacks that are taking place against Talk Radio, even PC crowd is going to OBSERVE what bloggers write.
I have tried to tell ny experiences and opinions as truthfully as possible, trying to warn others of the hazards and pitfalls that await the well intended. But, evidently, I have disturbed someone by my candor or voicing of an opinion. I am sure there are other ways of posting Blogs, if you want to go to the trouble. I simply do not have the energy to spare to engage in a fight that is so senseless. I am sure there are much more offensive blogs and other material out here than the opinions and experiences of a 52 year old MS patient living on Social Security.
So there, If you want me to shut up, I will. If you have the willingness to engage me and advise me of my trespasses, Just post.
One other thing, when you are flagged your blog is as easily available, whatever that means.
I did not know if any body was reading it that much anyway. AT least one pinhead is.

Reclaiming my Gun !

Well, Finally, after over 2 years, I was allowed to "have" my gun back from the Maryville Police Department. As I have told before, it was held after my wife was wrongfully charged with D.U.I. while taking her prescription medication in Maryville. The Officer opened the console and "OH MY GOD, THERE'S A GUN........". He told her he could have shot her between the eyes,
Anyway, we waited a year after the case was dismissed, as not to anger the sleeping dog and have her dragged thru the courts again with a "GRAND JURY INVESTIGATION'.
I went to Maryville Monday and went to Police department. Sugar would not melt in their mouths. Everthing was there, even the "BLACK TALON" bullets, which I thought I would never see again. I think Officer "FIFE" probably did not know what they looked like...
Justice has been served and never forget over $2500 in legal fees.
The next step is her record will be expunged. That would be an additional $450 except for the fact the case was dismissed.
The long lasting effect this will have on Deanna and I is something you cannot put a value on. I urge all who read this, anywhere. Know your law. Depending on the state, if you take Benadryl, that can be a DUI offense, if they can prove it affects the Central Nervous System.
M.S. paitents such as myself, will never pass a field sobriety test, period.
I cannot stress all of this enough. Even the Tennessee Highway Patrol still has T.V. spots, saying Booze it and Lose it. No one has touched on the D.U.I. by medications period.
I was told by some official, don't remember which one, too many, that it was our job to know the law, not there's to tell us, so there you go.
Have a good weekend, be carefull out there...MT
